Deserted Island

Frank and his fiancee's family are on a high-speed train to buy a house in the city when a tsunami strikes and leaves them stranded on a deserted island. The survival fight that follows is brutal. Frank is killed by others who want the supplies, and then he opens his eyes again, reborn on the same high-speed train. This time he knows what the island is like, and he means to use that knowledge.

Premise

The drama runs on a rebirth engine. Frank's death on the island is not the end. He gets a second chance on the train, and he decides to stock up on supplies in advance so he can become the king of the deserted island. The show frames that decision as the start of a revenge game against the people who killed him.

The hook is the contrast between the two timelines. The island is a place of scarcity and violence, and the train is the everyday world where Frank has time to prepare. The premise lets the story play with foresight, since he knows what is coming and can change the outcome.

Characters

Frank is the protagonist and the driving force. The synopsis presents him as a man who was harmed on the island and returns with a clear plan. His preparation and his intent to take power make him a calculating figure rather than a passive survivor.

His fiancee and her family are part of the original trip. Their place in the story is tied to the tsunami and the island, and the synopsis does not give them many traits beyond their connection to Frank. The others who killed him are the antagonists, and their actions set the revenge in motion.

Main arc

The main arc follows Frank's preparation and his return to the island with an advantage. He stocks supplies, anticipates threats, and begins the revenge game against those who took his life. Each step builds his control over the survival situation, and the show uses the island setting to stage a series of confrontations.

The genre listing describes the show as a romance, but the synopsis centers the survival and revenge storyline. Viewers should expect the arc to lean into strategy and payback, with relationships shaped by the struggle.

Themes & tropes

The central theme is second chances and the price of survival. Frank gets a rare opportunity to change his fate, and the story asks what he will do with it. Greed and betrayal sit at the heart of the island conflict, and his revenge tests the line between justice and cruelty.

The tropes are rebirth and revenge. The rebirth gives him knowledge and time, and the revenge gives the plot its direction. The survival setting adds a second layer of conflict that keeps each episode tense.

Why viewers watch

Viewers who enjoy a protagonist who returns with an advantage will find plenty to like. The idea of reliving a fatal moment with foreknowledge is a strong hook, and the survival setting keeps the stakes physical as well as strategic. If you like revenge stories where the hero plans ahead and the villains get what they earned, this drama delivers that pattern across its 84 episodes, with a clear sense of momentum.
