Two Reborn Souls

Lu Yanxi gave everything she had for Song Huai'an in her past life, and in the end she lost her entire family. When she opens her eyes again, she has a second chance and a clearer view of the truth. Her first move is bold: in public, she proposes to Cheng Zhongsheng, the fiancé she once jilted, and they marry on the spot.

Premise

The drama starts with a rebirth that corrects a terrible mistake. Lu Yanxi chose the wrong man in her first life, and her loyalty to Song Huai'an cost her the people she loved most. Now she knows what that choice really was. Her proposal to Cheng Zhongsheng is more than a romantic gesture, since it reverses the path she took before. The marriage that follows is abrupt, and the story pushes the couple toward a discovery that changes everything: Cheng Zhongsheng is also reborn, carrying memories of his own previous life.

Characters

Lu Yanxi is a woman who has seen the cost of misplaced trust, and she is determined to take control this time. Her sharpness shows in how quickly she acts on what she now knows. Cheng Zhongsheng is the fiancé she once jilted, and the synopsis reveals that in their previous life he loved her silently and avenged her. His quiet devotion becomes the core of the second half. Song Huai'an is the figure whose schemes ruined Lu Yanxi's first life. Cheng Mu is named as another villain the couple must bring to justice. Together, these antagonists give the story its clear targets.

Main arc

The arc moves from a sudden marriage to a joint campaign. Once the two are open with each other about their rebirths, they begin working together to expose schemes in the business world. The synopsis points to a steady pattern of exposure, where the couple uncovers wrongdoing and then moves to bring the villains to justice. The emotional thread runs alongside the business plot, as Cheng Zhongsheng's long silence is finally spoken aloud. The story closes on a grand wedding amid lilac blooms, which marks the point where the rebirth has finally been put right. The 83-episode run gives the couple room to rebuild trust and dismantle the villains' plans.

Themes & tropes

Rebirth frames the whole drama, and the characters use their second lives to correct the choices that ruined them. Revenge drives the second half, as Cheng Zhongsheng's earlier avenging of Lu Yanxi becomes a model for what the couple does together. Betrayal sits at the start of the story, since Song Huai'an's schemes and Lu Yanxi's trust in him set the first tragedy in motion. The business world gives the schemes a practical setting, and the fantasy label reflects the rebirth framework that holds the plot together.
